Joseph turned 4months on Saturday. He had is check up and shots on Tuesday. He weighs 17lbs. 4oz. (what a big kid) and he is in the 100% for his height! (I blame his father) ^_^ People keep thinking he's like 7 months old or something.
We went to WIC on Thursday to attend a class about starting Joseph on solids. They gave us a list of things that show if he is ready for solids, He isn't quite there yet, and we don't want to start him too soon because they say it could cause allergies. So we are gonna wait a bit.....darn.
When he is on his tummy he loves to stick his bum in the air and wiggle his legs around. And rock back and forth on his tummy with his arms and legs in the air.
We also gave him another haircut, he was losing so much hair and he had big bald spots all over so we buzzed it. :( He is still uber cute in my eyes though. ^_^
I also noticed there are very few photos with me and him and lots with Cody, my kid will probably grow up and think I don't love him!
before (nice and happy)
after (very sad to lose his beautiful hair!)
Packing has been more stress than it needs to be. We have already decided twice today to just drive hom but then changed our minds and decided to just go ahead a fly. uhg. I just want to be home right now. I feel like we are in limbo with boxes here and there living out of suitcases and little messes piled everywhere and not really knowing when we will be home for sure. All of our stuff we feel we need to bring home will not fit into two large suitcases plus two carry ons, they are stuffed to the max and we still need a bit more packed. So goes the craziness of moving. And this will be the last post on our cool school computer. I love this computer and I will be sad to see it's usefulness go!!!!! Goodbye HP! we will miss you!
Hello family here we come (and not soon enough)

4 Months
Tuesday, December 08, 2009
Well, I should have posted this sunday but, I made my goal (part way) I had figured out I needed to lose 5 pounds each month to reach my goal by my birthday. I started at 165 pounds on Nov 6th and I weighed myself on Sunday (dec 6th) I weigh 160 now! yahoo!!!! even without working out faithfully during the holidays and not eating strictly either. ^_^ (BTW: that's 15 lbs less than what I weighed before I was pregnant.)
We put up our Christmas tree, Cody surprised me with one. And all the gifts you see are not all ours, they are secret santa, $1 gifts, and a lot of little gifts I put in separate boxes to make it look like a lot. I am soooo excited for Cody to open his gifts. even though I know Christmas is not about gifts, I still love to give them, so....
I can't wait until Joseph gets old enough to start understanding what the heck is going on. we are still enjoying it with him though.
That boy LOVES attention. If we aren't looking at him he gets upset! He also LOVES to sit up and look at the world around him. His neck is pretty stable it's his back he needs to work on now. And when we put him on his tummy he is finally lifting his head up to look around. He loves when we sing and dance for him. And he loves kisses. He was also sick recently which is why there is a picture of him crying... it's sad and cute. He is also a Drool Master. I thought maybe he was teething but I don't know I haven't seen or felt any teeth so whatever.
Our apartment is a mess right now. We are trying to pack as much as we can and stuff is everywhere! It's kind of driving me crazy. But I am so anxious to leave that I can't help but pack. I was also telling Cody that I don't want to be so distracted by wanting to leave that we forget about Christmas otherwise Christmas will only be like a week long once we get home. And I am working on Christmas Cards right now too. I'm so bad about getting cards to people at the right time. So I am working hard to get them done and out on time.

Christmas Memories

Okay.
Because it is now officially Christmas month I can post this! I've been thinking about this post for a couple of weeks, but it was today that I put in my home videos to watch our Christmas memories. I'm hoping to put some on the computer (with everyone's permission of course, I know some of it is pretty embarrassing, mostly for me though, but I'm willing) We'll see if I'll be able to.
I wanted to go over some of my favorite Christmas memories and traditions (and new one's too)
I love White Christmases!!
I love going down Christmas lane
I love opening one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas day
I love doing the Nativity
I love the junk food we have (all of them, even the one's I don't eat, is that strange?)
I love staying up late and waking up early
I love the anticipation of waiting for everyone to arrive to start opening presents
I love all mom's nativities and decorations!
I love that we open presents From youngest to oldest
I love how dad is always doing a puzzle during the holidays!! (he's so good at them)
I loved having Grandma and Grandpa there!
I loved the piles of paper (until we started losing gifts in it)
I loved the flashing lights of our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree
It isn't Christmas without Bing!!!
I remember one year specifically when us four youngest girls slept in one bed (it wasn't all that comfortable)
I love how because we (or maybe it was just me) were notorious for peeking at presents, mom and dad had to code our presents so we wouldn't be able to, and dad would have to sit there on Christmas Morning to try and decode it!
And a shout out to new traditions -
Shepherd's dinner -
This is a Robles' tradition they've done for the last couple of years. When Cody first told me about it I thought we would be having Shepherd's pie!!! *duh. But what it is is the night the shepherds were out tending their flocks when the angels came and told them of Christ birth, so they have dinner on the floor and eat foods that could have been eaten by the shepherds. how cute is that!?
Renting out the Church for Christmas -
Even though I have not yet participated in this new tradition, I am so excited for it. I can just imagine being a kid again, I would love having run of the Church to do what I wanted (I would go the Primary room first and play on the microphone)!!! And all the space that a big family needs!!!
Anyways, you may add on if you want, I am so excited to Christmas!!!!
I just wanted to remember old good times in anticipation of new good times.
Happy Holidays

Thanksgiving
We got to spend Thanksgiving with some family, we went to Emilee and Mark's in Orem. We are soooooo grateful to them and Mark's mom for letting us intrude. Emilee had Her baby Lucy on Wednesday so we were able to see her. She was SOOOOOOOO Tiny!!! I got to go to EMilee's baby shower too. She got soooo much AWESMOE stuff. Cody and I had gone out shopping last Black Friday but we went at like 1pm. So this year we decided to wake up earlier, 7am We were really looking for anything in particular we just wanted to see if we could get any good deals. Most the time only electronics and kid toys are on sale and we don't really need either. But we got some really good deals at disney store!!! ^_^
We got home around 12pm I was feeling pretty bummed that we really didn't get anything. so we went back out on Saturday on our way home and I bought a coat from Old Navy!!!
Crazy story -
We had gone shopping until like 3pm and that is when the BYU/Utah game started I guess there was a letter from ma and pa robles at Emilee's so we went back, We decided to have lunch there and Cody got sucked into the game until half time when we decided to leave. So we got to Pocetello on the last exit out of town to get gas, as we were driving up the ramp to get on the highway Cody went to turn on the lights and all come on but the headlights!!!! we were in dark, so we had to use are emergency blinkers until we got to the next exit at Fort Hall Casino, we decided to keep goin until we could find a place to buy lights. In Blackfoot we bought 3 big flashlighs and stuck them on the dash to light a way a bit more.... From Blackfoot to Idaho Falls it got foggy but then it cleared up and we got home fine!!!!
So we are all sick, runny noses, sore throat ect. Joseph is miserable. he wont stop making this high pitched moan!!!! but he can still be pretty happy. I sometimes wonder if he makes that noise just to hear himself, like now, he is staring at his hand and trying to fit the whole thing in his mouth .
Cody and I started packing today, yahoo only three weeks!! we are soooooo excited to leave. Now that we've sold our apartment it doesn't feel like ours! we felt really at home in Orem.
We gave Joseph a haircut today, his hair was super long and it was just getting gross (greasy all the time) so it is now an inch on everyside and looks not as silly with is balding sides. Cody used his clippers and then I cut the hair on his back to make it look not to stinkin' long!!!!! ^_^ We kept some of his hair in an envelope to remember always.
So Cody told me this really funny story of something that he overheard at the gym.
There were these three guys in the weight room (they weren't the scrawny type) and Cody heard their conversation;
"UP came out on DVD last week"
"No way, I so want to see that movie, it looks so cute"
"Yeah me too"
"Hey maybe we should rent it and I can make you guys dinner!"
Usually you wouldn't expect to hear such a conversation at a gym among guys, but BYU-Idaho is amazing like that!
We thought is was funny! ^_^
